DNA (short)
Larry Swing - Jun 29, 2004 - DNA has
consolidated within two bearish patterns: A bear flag, and a head and
shoulders top. Trading volume has followed the bear flag in a negative
fashion - rising as the stock falls, and then trailing off as it
consolidates. Volume for the H&S pattern is also negative, with some slight
volume increases during declines. More importantly, however, volume was high
during declines to the neckline. This confirms the technical importance of
this pivot level. If the stock concludes both patterns negatively, we will
become extremely bearish on the stock. However, we will become bearish with
only a break of the bear flag... Read More

AIG (long)
Larry Swing - Jun 28, 2004 - AIG trades at
very reasonable multiples; the forward P/E ratio is 13.9, and the forward
P/EG ratio is .925. Considering the company's great business stability, these
multiples are low. It is the technical picture, however, not the
fundamentals, that truly make AIG an attractive buy candidate... Read More

SAFM (long)
Larry Swing - Jun 15, 2004
Sanderson Farms (NASDAQ: SAFM) is taking advantage of a trend
towards a more health-conscious America with a clever marketing campaign. The
campaign advertises Sanderson Farms chicken as a "natural" alternative. The
advertisements highlight the fact that many competitors add salts and
phosphates to their chicken, and Sanderson Farms does not. This isn't the
same as free range or organic, and doesn't mean the same increased costs to
Sanderson Farms of producing a pound of chicken meat. However, many consumers
do not know the difference. Read More
